Ceramic Hedgehog

Not many of us look forward to the winter months. The darkness and cold can make us feel very sad, and at least we have Christmas to keep us happy. However, real winter can be a struggle for local wildlife in our gardens.

Our local wildlife has taken a beating of late. Whether due to global warming or other environmental problems has been a drastic decline of many key species such as bumblebees, and it's winter in which they fight more.

With snow on the ground and the lack of flowers, berries and plants, food is scarce in winter for animals and birds that are unable to migrate or hibernate. It can take years for a species to recover from a particularly bad winter and many more are at risk and the numbers decrease, which could be devastating for some local species.

Fortunately we can help. There is a selection of feeders and houses of wildlife there. From the home of Martin and swallow bird nesting bowls and boxes, homes for frogs and toads houses bat boxes, hedgehog houses, nesting bumblebees nests for bird feeders and many paintings, there is much we can do to help out.

And we do not need a backyard huge bird feeders and boxes of wildlife can be used on lawns, flowerbeds, planters, planter and even patios. Some are really cool looking too and may help illuminate the dullest garden.
