The issue of steroids, again raised its ugly head this week with Roger Clemens making an appearance Tuesday on ESPN Radio, Mike and Mike in the Morning, and Manny Ramírez, addressing his Dodger teammates on Friday afternoon. At a time when at least eight largest baseball hitters of the modern era have been linked to performance enhancing drugs, Major League Baseball is hoping to put aside this issue as quickly possible. ATLANTA (5 / 16) — The Arizona Diamondbacks are not winning a lot of games this year when they sit at the bottom of the NL West and 11 games out of first. But the night of Saturday the boys from the desert came alive in Atlanta, bearing twelve races in eleven samples to exclude the Braves at Turner Field. The victory was the new manager AJ Hinch's second in the year, and the first Major League win for righty Max Scherzer. SEATTLE (5 / 16) – After putting in 15-day disabled list before Wednesday's game against the Angels, Red Sox first baseman Kevin Youkilis was given a deserved rest before flying back to Boston on Saturday. Youkilis had an injury to his left arm after being struck two times a pitcher in a game of May 4 against the Yankees. The Bosox are sending him to Pawtucket of two-day rehab on Monday and Tuesday, and hope to have it back with the team when they play Toronto on Wednesday. He will be eligible to return following since his appointment DL is retroactive to May 5.
